Turning much cooler across Europe

Today
Very windy across northern Europe. An area of moderate to heavy rain clears England and will affect Norway, The Low Countries, The Netherlands, Denmark and France. Some light rain will reach western Germany later in the day but generally a dry, bright day here. An area of high pressure will be central across eastern Europe.
Plenty of fine, dry and warm weather with sunny spells will stretch from Russia westward across Finland, Sweden, The Baltic States into Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine but some dense fog patches are likely in the morning. Similar conditions are forecast across the former Czech and Yugoslav Republics and the Alpine Region. A few showers will fall in the far north of Spain while much of Iberia is sunny and dry. Thunderstorms across Scilly may creep in towards the south of Italy during the day. Central and northern parts of Italy look fine and sunny with valley fog. Fine and sunny as well across the Balkans.

Tuesday
Much cooler across mainland parts of Europe today. A belt of moderate to locally heavy rain will lie from Sweden across eastern parts of Germany, western Poland into the former Czech Republic and the Alpine Region. A dry, bright day to come across Finland.
Cool and breezy across the United Kingdom, The Low Countries, France, Norway and western parts of Germany with occasional showers. Fine and dry for the Baltic States into Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine with sunny spells. While a few showers will affect northern Spain, it's a dry day across much of Iberia with scattered showers around the Balearics. Ann area of heavy rain with a risk of thunderstorms will move across central Italy with the north and south fair and dry. Another fine, sunny day across the Balkans into Bulgaria, Romania and the former Yugoslav Republic.
