Becoming warmer across Europe

Today
A dry day to come across England and France with good sunny spells though the far south of France will see some very heavy showers with thunder. A few heavy showers are also forecast across The Low Counties.
Outbreaks of more persistent rain will affect Norway, Sweden, Holland and northern parts of Germany while Finland stays fair and dry. Later the rain should clear northern Germany as it brightens up with some sunshine coming through. A few heavy showers will develop over the Alpine Region with central and southern Germany along with Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine fine and dry. Dry too across the Czech and Yugoslav Republics into Romania and Hungary, Sunshine and showers are in the forecast for Bulgaria with a fine day across Greece and Turkey. Eastern parts of Spain, The Balearics and Italy will be dry and sunny but heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely across Portugal and western Spain.

Monday
A band of moderate to heavy rain will lie from Belgium across southeast England into the far north of France along western France into western Spain with sunny spells and thunderstorms across Portugal. Central and southern parts of France look warm, dry and sunny. Fine and sunny too for Germany with early dense fog then heavy rain comes in tonight.
Eastern Spain also will have a fine, dry day and this extends eastward into the Balearics and for Italy. Breezy and unsettled for Scandinavia today with persistent rain for Finland and a day of sunshine showers across Norway and Sweden. Patchy rain will push into the Baltic States with a dry day for Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. High pressure across eastern Europe will also give the alpine Region, the former Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary a fine, sunny day with early fog clearing. Continued quite warm and sunny into the Balkans.
