Showers and rain to the east of Europe, but better conditions in the west

Today
Heavy showers affecting the far south of Spain and southern Portugal today. For the rest of Portugal and Spain the weather should stay dry with some good spells of sunshine. Over France the weather will be dry again with lots of sunshine throughout the day. An odd shower over the Low Countries, with more persistent showers for Germany.
Fine weather across Switzerland, with rain or showers for Austria and Switzerland. Northern Italy should be dry and sunny, although central and southern parts of Spain will be having showers, these extending into the former Yugoslavia too. Thunderstorms and heavy showers in Greece, with Crete and Cyprus dry and sunny. Fair for Portugal.
Bulgaria and Romania will be more unsettled with widespread rain, some of it heavy at times. The Ukraine has rain in the west, whilst Belarus has showers, some of them heavy.
For the Baltic States there may be an odd shower, but generally the weather should be dry here in sunny spells. Fair in southern Finland, but rain in the north. Fair over southern Sweden and southern Norway, whilst the north will be having rain or showers.

Wednesday
Scattered showers for Spain and Portugal, and odd one of them on the heavy side. Fair conditions throughout France with plenty of sunshine. For the Low Countries there may be a shower, but for much of central Europe including Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary the weather will be staying fine throughout the day and dry.
Italy is going to be having a fine day too with more sunshine here, and this fine weather spreads into the former Yugoslavia. Greece, Crete, Cyprus and Turkey are all going to be dry with plenty of sunshine, although showers on the Black Sea coasts. Bulgaria and Romania will be dry with some good spells of sunshine, whilst showers affect the east of the Ukraine.
To the north the Baltic States are going to be dry with more sunshine to come here, whilst fair weather affects the whole of Finland. Most of Sweden and Denmark should be dry, although a band of cloud and rain will be spreading to the west of Norway, where it will also be turning windy.
