Today
A windy day across Scandinavia today with a band of moderate to heavy rain across Norway and Sweden into Denmark in the morning. This rain then pushes east into western Finland and the far north of Germany during the afternoon. Severe gales will develop later across Norway. For the United Kingdom, France and central and southern Germany it's mainly dry with sunnier spells though one or two showers may affect southern France and The Low Countries in the afternoon.
A fine, sunny day for Portugal today but we will see some heavy showers and thunderstorms across central and southern parts of Spain with a few showers too across the Balearics. A cell of high pressure will keep it fine and dry across The Alpine Region, Italy into the former Czech and Yugoslav Republics. Very warm and sunny too across Romania, Bulgaria into Greece and Turkey. Fine and sunny into Poland, The Baltic Sates and the Ukraine. Heavy showers will affect Russia.

Colder and continued very windy with gales across Scandinavia today. Heavy rain is likely for Finland while Norway has a day of sunshine showers. Fine, dry and sunny for Sweden. Rain and wind also moves into Scotland while England is fine and sunny.
Pleasantly warm and sunny through France with patchy early rain clearing Germany in the morning. Dry and mostly sunny weather will prevail across Belgium, Holland, Denmark and western Poland. Rain is forecast for eastern Poland into the Baltic States and Russia. For the rest of Europe it's a dry day with sunny spells. Just the odd shower is expected for Spain with Italy and the Balkans staying fine and sunny.
