Rather cool across Europe, hot across Turkey, lots of sunshine for the Mediterranean Region
Today
A windy day to come across the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. Outbreaks of rain are expected across England, Norway and Sweden. A dry day across Finland with sunny spells Rain also spread across the Low Counties, The Netherlands and Denmark as well. High pressure will keep it fine and settled across France and much of Germany with patchy fog soon clearing to sunny spells. For Iberia it's looking dry, warm and sunny although there maybe one or two showers developing across eastern parts of Spain in the afternoon. A few showers to come across northern Poland otherwise a dry bright day. An area of rain will lie across The Baltic States, Belarus into western Russia and the Ukraine. This will be locally heavy at times. Eastern parts of Russia will have hazy sunshine.
Sunny and warm across the Balearics into Corsica and Sardinia. Northern and southern parts of Italy also will be fine and dry with a risk of some showers across central Italy. Heavier, possibly thundery showers will affect Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia through the day. Morning mist clears the valleys of Austria and Switzerland to long sunny spells. Just a few showers for Bulgaria, Romania and northern Greece otherwise dry. A hot, sunny day to come for Turkey.
Thursday
Continued rather windy across northern Europe. More rain is expected across the United Kingdom into Norway and Finland while Sweden should be dry but cloudy. Outbreaks of rain are also forecast across Belgium, Holland into the far north of Germany, Poland and The Baltic States.
High pressure continues to dominate central and much of mainland Europe. A large area of fine, dry weather will extend from France into central and southern Germany into Poland, Belarus and Russia. Patchy fog across the former Czech Republic clears then dry and sunny today. Fine and sunny too across the Alpine Region, the former Yugoslav Republic and Romania. Western coasts of Portugal may catch a shower otherwise it's sunny and warm across Portugal and Spain and this fine weather will extend eastward across the Balearics into Italy and the Balkans.
