High pressure bringing fair weather to central and eastern Europe, but showers affecting Spain and Portugal
Today
Portugal is going to have a fine day with good spells of sunshine throughout. There will be sunshine and dry weather for the western half of Spain too, although eastern parts of Spain will have a period of rain and heavy showers. Those showers extend into south-western and central France, whilst the rest of the country should be drier with some sunny intervals. For the Low Countries there will be broken cloud with a chance of some patchy drizzle early on. The far north of Germany has low cloud and a chance of drizzle, but for the vast majority of the country it will be dry and sunny.
Switzerland, Austria and Hungary as well as most of Poland should be dry with good spells of sunshine. Italy is going to be fine and warm too, with more sunshine to come here. Over the former Yugoslavia the sun continues to shine, and it should stay dry. Remaining dry too over Greece, with a chance of a shower for Crete. Cyprus should be dry in sunshine, with the dry weather continuing in Turkey, although some showers affect northern Turkey.
A fine day in Bulgaria and Romania with plenty of sunshine. Fair through most of the Ukraine, but showers in the east. Fair for Belarus, but a band of rain, some of it heavy passing through the Baltic States. Heavy showers following behind the rain band. For most of Sweden it should be dry, although some rain could affect the north. Showers on western coasts of Norway, whilst the east of Norway and Denmark should be dry with sunny spells.
Sunday
Fine weather and sunshine in Portugal and much of Spain, although the showers again extending through northeast Spain and into south-western parts of France. Either side of the rain band in France it should be dry and warm in sunshine. Another dry day through the Low Countries and Germany with some good spells of sunshine here. More sunshine to come across Poland with plenty of dry conditions too.
Over Switzerland, Austria and Hungary the weather is going to be remaining dry in plenty of sunshine. More sunshine to come across Italy and Greece, with the weather staying dry here too. More dry weather in Crete and Cyprus whilst heavy showers will affect central and western Turkey.
More dry weather through Bulgaria and Romania with sunshine here. The dry, sunny weather into the Ukraine as well as Belarus. High pressure builds into the Baltic States where the suns will shine and it will be very warm. More dry weather to come across Finland and most of Sweden and Denmark. For Norway winds will be stronger, with showers in the west, whilst the whole of Denmark should be dry.
