Pleasantly warm through mainland Europe
Today
A windy day to come across the United Kingdom and Scandinavia. Outbreaks of rain are expected across England and Norway. A dry day across Finland and Sweden with sunny spells. High pressure will keep it pleasantly warm and settled across much of Germany, The Low Countries and Poland with patchy fog soon clearing to sunny spells. While much of France looks fair and bright there is a risk of a few showers across eastern areas.
For Spain and the Balearics expect sunny spells and occasional showers through the day. A few heavy showers to come as well for Scilly. Morning mist clears the valleys of Austria and Switzerland to sunny spells and one two showers. Fine and sunny for Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. Some heavy showers with thunderstorms are forecast for Turkey. A dry day to come across The Baltic States, Belarus and Russia with lots of sunshine under high pressure though some dense fog patches may be slow to clear.
Monday
Continued rather windy across northern Europe. An area of moderate to heavy rain clears England and will affect Norway, The Low Countries, The Netherlands, Denmark and France. Some light rain will reach western Germany later in the day but generally a dry, bright day here. An area of high pressure will be central across eastern Europe.
Plenty of fine, dry and warm weather with sunny spells will stretch from Russia westward across Finland, Sweden, The Baltic States into Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine but some dense fog patches are likely in the morning. Similar conditions are forecast across the former Czech and Yugoslav Republics and the Alpine Region. A few showers will fall in the far north of Spain while much of Iberia is sunny and dry. Thunderstorms across Scilly may creep in towards the south of Italy during the day. Central and northern parts of Italy look fine and sunny with valley fog. Fine and sunny as well across the Balkans.
