Very unsettled conditions through the southeast, but drier to the west and north

Today
A dry day over Portugal and Spain with plenty of sunshine to come here throughout today. This fine weather extends through France and also into the Low Countries. Most of Germany will be dry and breezy with variable cloud and some sunshine in the north. To the south the cloud will be thicker, a chance of some spots of drizzle here. Fine conditions across Poland, although still some cloud in the far south.
Cloudy for Austria and Hungary as well as the Czech and Slovak Republics. More cloud to come over Switzerland.
Into the southeastern quarter of Europe conditions are far more unsettled. Here the weather is going to be wet and windy for many. The emphasis of the heavy rain will be over eastern Italy, the Balkans and Greece. Western Turkey will be wet with heavy showers and rain here, whilst eastern Turkey should be drier. Bulgaria and Romania will be cloudy and wet in heavy rain. A risk of flooding throughout this area.
Cloud and some patchy rain in the Ukraine, although dry and bright in Belarus.
Higher pressure to the north. Fairly cloudy in the Baltic States, although for Finland it will be chilly, but sunny. More sunshine over much of Sweden too, although thicker cloud to the north. A fine day throughout Denmark and much of central and eastern Norway. Thicker cloud in the west and north with some rain.

Tuesday
Dry through Portugal and Spain again today, although the cloud may increase to the north of Iberia. For France the day will be fairly breezy, with variable amounts of cloud. Variable cloud too over the Low Countries and most of Germany. Southern Germany will be cloudy though with periods of rain here, some of them heavy at times. The northern half of Poland will be bright with sunny spells and dry, although the southern half of Poland will be wet and windy.
Rain affects most of southern Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. Most of Italy will be cloudy and wet with some heavy periods of rain here. Staying unsettled through the former Yugoslavia, with heavy periods of rain too throughout Greece and Crete. Western Turkey will be cloudy with rain, whilst most of the rest of Turkey stays dry in sunny spells. Bulgaria and Romania will have heavy showers and sunny spells, with the heavy showers extending throughout the western Ukraine and into Belarus.
The Baltic States will be dry in plenty of sunshine, with more sunshine to come across Norway. Finland and Denmark. Chilly as well. Dry over Norway with sunshine here, although a few spots of rain in the far northwest of Norway.
