Rain, heavy at times in eastern areas but drier across Scandinavia

Today
Cloud and rain through northern Spain today, some moderate outbursts too. For central and southern Spain conditions should be drier with some sunny spells here. France will be breezy with variable cloud, and some sunny spells coming through as well. Remaining breezy over the Low Countries and Germany, again with variable cloud. Dry too through the north of Poland, although windy and rather cloudy. For southern Germany and southern Poland it will be cloudy and wet with some heavy bursts of rain, and windy here as well. More cloud and rain over Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
Italy is going to be unsettled with more cloud and rain here, most to the east. Across much of the Balkans there will be heavy showers, thunderstorms are likely too. More heavy showers across Greece, Crete and the west of Turkey. eastern Turkey will be drier with sunny spells, and it should be fine in Cyprus as well. Sunshine and showers for Bulgaria and Romania, these extending into the Ukraine.
High pressure through Scandinavia will bring dry conditions to the Baltic States, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Cold here with sunny spells.

Wednesday
An area of rain spreading through Portugal and also into northern and western Spain. Eastern and southern parts of Spain will be dry with sunny spells. Breezy again in France, but staying dry under variable amounts of cloud. Breezy and cloudy over the Low Countries and Germany. A few spots of rain or drizzle are likely as well, especially over southern Germany. Plenty of cloud again in Poland with some outbreaks of rain, and staying rather windy as well.
For central Europe, much of Switzerland, Hungary and Austria there will be cloud and periods of rain, some of them heavy.
Showers over Italy, again a few of them on the heavy side, with more showers across the former Yugoslavia as well. Further showers in Greece and Crete, as well as the west of Turkey. eastern Turkey is going to be dry with sunny spells as well as Cyprus. A few showers through Bulgaria and Romania. Western Ukraine is going to have cloud and rain, but eastern Ukraine should be dry with sunny spells.
The Baltic States will be dry with sunny spells, and this dry weather extends through Finland as well. More dry weather in Sweden and Denmark as well as much of Norway, although some cloud and rain over northwest Norway.
