Remaining wet across Spain, best further east into central and eastern Mediterranean

Today
A band of moderate to heavy rain will lie from Belgium across southeast England into the far north of France along western France into western Spain with sunny spells and thunderstorms across Portugal. Central and southern parts of France look warm, dry and sunny. Fine and sunny too for Germany with early dense fog then heavy rain comes in tonight.
Eastern Spain also will have a fine, dry day and this extends eastward into the Balearics and for Italy. Breezy and unsettled for Scandinavia today with persistent rain for Finland and a day of sunshine showers across Norway and Sweden. Patchy rain will push into the Baltic States with a dry day for Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. High pressure across eastern Europe will also give the alpine Region, the former Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary a fine, sunny day with early fog clearing. Continued quite warm and sunny into the Balkans.

Tuesday
A cell of high pressure is to be centred over Norway today. For Scandinavia it's looking fine and dry with sunny spells though for Finland it will be cloudier with some light rain. Largely dry and bright as well into the United Kingdom through the Low Counties into northern Germany and Denmark.
A belt of light to moderate rain is expected to lie from Russia into Belarus into Poland and southern Germany to northern France. While eastern parts of Spain will be dry, western Spain and Portugal will be very wet with heavy rain and thunderstorms. A large area of fine, sunny and warm weather will prevail from eastern Spain into the Balearics, southern France across into Italy and much of central and eastern parts of Europe. Sunny and dry as well across the Balkans. Another hot day to come for Turkey.
