Today we'll see high pressure centred over Holland today. This will keep much of northern Europe settled. A large area of dry, sunny weather will prevail across the United Kingdom through Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and Poland. While some rain will push into western parts of Norway late in the day, it's fine and sunny for Sweden and Finland with a cold, frosty morning. An area of heavy rain and showers will stretch from the Ukraine into Romania, Hungary, The former Yugoslav Republic into Italy. Just a few showers for the south of France today with sunny skies in the north. Apart from the odd shower around the north coast of Spain, Iberia will enjoy a dry, sunny day. Greece also will be fine and settled with just a few well scattered showers and sunny intervals through Turkey.

A large area of fine weather associated with high pressure will affect much of Europe today. Dry and quite sunny weather is forecast for the United Kingdom, Benelux into Germany and much of France after morning fog patches disperse. Just the odd shower may develop across southern France in the afternoon. A few showers are also likely in the far north of Spain while central and southern Spain along with Portugal remains dry and sunny. Rain is expected across the Baltic States into Russia and Belarus with a dry day across Poland after early rain clears eastern areas. A dry day as well across the Alpine Region into the former Czech Republic. It turns sunny and dry across northern Italy but heavy showers are rain is likely across central and southern parts of Italy into the former Yugoslavia, Hungary and northern Greece. Fine and sunny for southern Greece and Turkey today. An area of rain will move across Norway into Sweden with Finland and Denmark mainly fine and dry.
