The rain is not staying on the 'plane in Spain! If sunshine you need, head east
Today
A mainly fair day through Spain and Portugal, although there may be some thicker cloud and a brisk east breeze along southern coasts. Most of France will have a dry and sunny day, although rain may spread into northern coastal regions later in the day. For the Low Countries and Germany the day is going to be dry with more sunshine here. The dry weather extending into Poland and through Switzerland, Hungary and Austria.
Much of Italy has a dry day with sunny spells, although there will be a few heavy showers in the south. Showers for the former Yugoslavia, with heavier, more widespread showers across Greece. Turkey, Crete and Cyprus will be dry with sunny spells throughout.
Rain affects Bulgaria, whilst Romania stays dry and bright. More sunshine in the Ukraine, although showers for Belarus.
Breezy in blustery showers across the Baltic States and Finland. For Sweden the day is going to be dry with some good spells of sunshine and it should be pleasant over southern Norway as well. Thicker cloud for northern Norway with some rain here.
Wednesday
Over the southern half of Spain there will be plenty of sunshine and dry weather. More dry weather across Portugal with lots of sunshine here. An area of rain will be plunging through northern Spain and into the south of France, some of the rain heavy at times. For northern France the day will be cool and bright, but should be dry too.
Dry weather across the Low Countries and Germany as well as Denmark and Poland. Switzerland and Hungary, as well as Austria will be dry and sunny throughout.
The far north of Italy should be dry in sunny spells, but heavier showers will affect central and southern parts of the country. More heavy showers, some of them thundery through the former Yugoslavia and Greece, these merging to longer spells of rain at times. An odd shower over Turkey, but sunny spells in-between.
Rain in Bulgaria with showers for Romania, whilst the Ukraine is going to be dry and sunny. Belarus will be dry with sunshine.
Rain spread through the Baltic States, whilst Finland will be dry with sunny spells. More dry weather in Sweden and Denmark, plenty of sunshine. Most of southern Norway should be fine too, although cloud and rain affects the west.
