Showers or rain in the southwest of France and northeast Spain, but drier in much of central Europe
Today
A fair day across Portugal and Spain with plenty of sunshine to come in most places. There will be some cloud and rain across the north of Spain and southern France, and this could be heavy at times. Northern parts of France will be dry with some sunny spells, although a risk of a shower in the northwest. The Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland will be dry with plenty of sunshine. Hungary, Austria and Switzerland will be dry again, and breezy, with some sunny spells.
The far north of Italy will be dry with sunny spells, but central and southern Italy are going to have thicker cloud and periods of rain or showers. Cloud and rain over the former Yugoslavia. Greece will have sunny spells and showers, a few of them heavy, whilst Crete and Cyprus should be dry with more sunshine here. A few showers for Turkey, but sunny spells for many here.
Cloud and a few spots of rain in Bulgaria and western Romania, but brighter in the east. For the Ukraine and Belarus it will be dry with plenty of sunshine and feeling warm too.
Over the Baltic States a band of rain moves through, some heavy, followed by showers. Finland should be generally dry with sunny spells, although a few showers could affect the north. For most of Sweden it is going to be dry with plenty of sunshine and this extends through Denmark as well. Southern Norway will be dry and sunny, whilst there will be cloud and rain to the north.
Thursday
Cloud and shower or rain affecting the east of Spain on Thursday. Eastern parts of Spain should be dry with plenty of sunshine. Portugal is going to be dry with plenty of sunshine throughout the day. More dry weather over the whole of France with lots of sunshine here. It stays fine for the Low Countries and Germany, with more fine weather to come across Poland. There will be more dry weather in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Cloud and some patchy rain in the northeast of Italy, but the west should be dry. Showers for southern Italy, some of them heavy. The showers will be heavy over the whole of the former Yugoslavia and Greece, where they could be heavy. An odd shower in Crete, but Cyprus will be dry and bright with sunshine. An odd shower in Turkey, mot of it in the west.
For Bulgaria there will be cloud and some spells of rain in the west, whilst the east will be dry. Romania will be dry with sunny spells, and plenty of sunshine affects the Ukraine and Belarus.
Thicker cloud, stronger winds and periods of rain sweeping through the Baltic States and into Finland. A west day across Sweden, some of the rain heavy at times. There will be more cloud and rain in Norway, with some rain across the Denmark too. Windy throughout Scandinavia with gales in places.
