Remaining unsettled across eastern Europe
Today
A windy day and it becomes colder across Scandinavia through the day. Apart from a few showers across western Norway, it does look dry with sunny spells once any early rain clears the far south of Finland. Outbreaks of rain will fall across Denmark, Germany, Poland, The Baltic States, Belarus and Russia. The rain will be heaviest across Belarus and Russia while parts of southern Germany may stay dry.
High pressure will give the United Kingdom, The Low Countries and France a fine, dry day with sunny spells after clearance of early fog patches. While a few heavy, thundery showers may threaten the eastern coast of Spain and the Balearics, much of Iberia will be dry and sunny. Northern and central parts of Italy will also be dry while scattered showers affect the far south. More in the way of heavy showers will affect the former Yugoslav Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Greece. Fair and dry across the former Czech Republic and The Alpine Region. Lots of sunshine too for Turkey with late showers moving into the far west
Saturday
Lots of fine weather to come across the United Kingdom into Benelux, France and Germany with morning fog patches then bright with sunnier spells. Fine as well for Denmark and much of Poland.
More rain to come for the Baltic States, Belarus and Russia today which will be accompanied by a cold, gusty northerly wind. Dry, sunny and pleasantly warm across Portugal, Spain into the Balearics. Northern Italy stays fair and dry while a number of showers will affect the south. A dry day to come today across Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia while plenty of heavy showers will persist across Greece, Bulgaria, Hungary into western Turkey. An area of heavy rain will move into western parts of Norway. Eastern Norway, Sweden and Finland will remain fine and dry with sunny spells after a cold, frosty start.
