Becoming a bit warmer
Today
As a front moves in, it becomes unsettled across the United Kingdom today as an area of rain spreads in from the west. This also spreads into western parts of Norway. For Finland and Sweden it will remain fine and dry with morning frost then sunny.
A large area of high pressure is expected to dominate much of mainland Europe. Lots of dry weather to come from France eastward into German, Belgium, The Netherlands and Poland. It's cold morning in the east with a widespread frost but it turns warmer across France today. Look out for some locally dense fog across central Europe in the morning. A number of showers are forecast for Portugal and Spain today but expect sunny spells too. Fine across into the Balearics into Italy and Greece with sunny skies while heavy rain is forecast for eastern Turkey. For Bulgaria and Romania it's dry and mostly sunny.
Tuesday
It warms up across much of mainland Europe. A belt of moderate to heavy rain will stretch from Sweden across Denmark, The Low Countries along southern England and along the north French coast. Windy across Norway with lots of heavy showers and some light rain spreads into Finland and The Baltic States.
The strong area of high pressure will keep much of central Europe fine and dry. Some morning fog for France, Germany and eastern Europe will clear to sunny spells. A dry day to come for Portugal and western Spain with a risk of some heavy showers for eastern Spain and the Balearics. Sunny and dry for Italy with some locally dense fog in the valleys at first. Lots of sunshine to come across the former Czech Republic, The Alpine Region and the former Yugoslav Republic. Warm and sunny too across into Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. Further heavy spells of rain and showers are likely to affect the eastern part of Turkey.
