Central areas remaining wet, but drier in the north and east
Today
Some showers along eastern coasts of Spain today, with some heavier showers through the Balearics Islands. Over the vast majority of Spain and the whole of Portugal conditions should be dry with some good spells of sunshine. More dry conditions and sunshine over France, with a morning frost here too. The dry weather extends into the Low Countries, Germany and Denmark. Over Poland there will be some cloud and this may well produce a few spots of drizzle.
A few spots of drizzle and cloud in Austria and Hungary, whilst Switzerland is likely to be dry with some spells of sunshine.
Remnants of the weeks heavy rain will be over northeastern Italy, with the rest of Italy being drier with broken cloud and sunny spells. More dry weather in Greece and Crete with sunshine here, and the sunshine extending into Cyprus and throughout Turkey.
Romania and Bulgaria will have variable cloud but should be mainly dry, although there could be a spot of rain on the hills. Through the Ukraine and Belarus it should stay dry with sunny spells. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in the Baltic States and southern parts of Finland. For Sweden it should be a dry day with sunny spells, whilst cloud and rain move onto western coasts of Norway.
Sunday
Another day of cloud and showers over eastern and southern coasts of Spain. The rest of Spain and Portugal will be dry with more spells of sunshine throughout. Rain will be moving into the far north of France later on, with the winds increasing here, but for most of France the day is going to be dry and bright. Rain too into the north of the Low Countries and along northern coasts of Germany. For the rest of Germany the day should be dry.
Over Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia there is likely to be cloud and some periods of rain. For most of central Europe it should stay dry with sunny spells.
A more settled day for Italy with dry conditions and sunny spells here, whilst heavy showers are going to be affecting the former Yugoslavia. Greece should be dry and fine with some sunshine coming through here, and this sunshine extending throughout Turkey. Cloudy with some outbreaks of rain over the Ukraine and Belarus.
Cloud and some patchy rain for the Baltic States, whilst Finland will be breezy with further spots of drizzle here. Windy with rain in northern Norway, whilst the south should be dry. Heavier rain and strong winds in Norway too.
