Central areas remaining wet, but drier in the north and east
Today
A band of showers through southern and southeastern coasts of Spain and into the Balearic Islands. For Portugal and the rest of Spain the day should be dry with some good spells of sunshine. More sunshine across central and southern areas of France, although cloud and increasing winds pushing rain, some of it heavy into the north of France. The rain too across the Low Countries and through northern Germany later today. Most of Germany should be dry though and it should be dry across Poland as well.
Cloudier over Hungary and Austria as well as the Czech Republic and Slovakia, together with Switzerland, and there could be some outbreaks of rain here. Some good spells of sunshine across Italy and dry here, although staying unsettled through the Balkans with some heavy showers or longer periods of rain.
A mainly dry day in Greece, although showers for Corfu. Dry in Crete with sunny spells, and more dry weather and further spells of sunshine for Turkey and Cyprus. A wet day in Bulgaria and Romania, some of it heavy. Generally dry in the Ukraine, but some cloud and a few spots of rain over Belarus.
Cloudier skies and outbreaks of light rain and drizzle across the Baltic States, this extending through Finland. A windy day over Sweden, Norway and Denmark with lots of cloud and periods of rain throughout the day. Most of the rain in Norway, where it will turn more showery later.
Monday
A fine day over most of Spain and Portugal with good spells of sunshine. However, thicker cloud affects the far north of Spain, with some light rain or drizzle here. Showers or rain extend in the Balearics again, some of them heavy here and there.
Through France the day is going to be rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain in most places, although brighter weather should follow to the north later. The band of rain cross the Low Countries and into Germany, some of it heavy, but brighter more showery weather follows to the west. Poland should have a generally dry day with sunny spells here. Drier through Switzerland, Hungary and Austria with sunny intervals.
Italy is going to have a fine day with more sunshine coming through here. Remaining fair over the former Yugoslavia, Greece, Crete, Cyprus and Turkey. Unsettled for Romania and Bulgaria with periods of rain or heavy showers. fair for the Ukraine and Belarus.
To the north there will be broken cloud over the Baltic States with showers. Cloud and stronger winds together with heavy rain in Finland. More heavy rain and strong winds over Sweden and Denmark. More rain in southern Norway, but brighter weather and some showers over northern Norway.
