Settled and mild across France, United Kingdom

Today
A windy day across Scandinavia today with an area of locally heavy rain for Norway and Sweden while early rain soon clears to sunnier spells across Finland. A dry, mild day for The Low Countries, England and Wales with sunnier spells. Fine as well across France and Germany as high pressure dominates. With deep low pressure near Italy it's a very unsettled and windy day to come for the central part of the Mediterranean.
Heavy rain and showers are expected for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy into the former Yugoslav Republic. This rain extends north east across into Romania into Belarus and western Russia. A few showers are forecast for the Balearics while Spain and Portugal are fine and sunny. For Greece and Turkey expect a dry, mostly sunny day. A dry day to in store for the Alpine Region into the former Czech Republic, Poland and The Baltic States.

Thursday
Cold, northerly gales will affect Scandinavia today. A wet day for Finland with spells of heavy rain. Showers across parts of Norway will turn increasingly to snow while Sweden is dry with sunny spells. While Scotland will see rain, high pressure over France is to give England, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland a fine, dry and bright day. Mild here as well.
Further heavy showers are forecast for Italy and the former Yugoslavia. Continued dry and fine across Iberia today with long sunny spells. Northern Poland along with the Baltic States and Russia will be damp with rain. Sunny skies will prevail across Switzerland, Austria and the former Czech Republic into Romania and southern Poland. Largely dry today for Greece and Turkey.
