After a dry day in the south, colder air will be plunging south through many areas tomorrow

Today
It will be a fine day to come over most of Portugal and Spain. Plenty of sunshine through all areas, and this sunshine extending through southern and central parts of France too. Thicker cloud will be affecting northern France, where increased winds will be pushing in some rain. Further rain will be reaching the Low Countries as the afternoon progresses, the winds picking up too.
For Germany there will be some cloud and some outbreaks of rain in the far north, but much brighter and drier to the south. Breezy and cold in Poland with some wintry showers and only brief brighter spells. Through Hungary and Austria the day is going to be rather cloudy with some patchy rain, whilst Switzerland should be drier and brighter.
Italy will start the day with mist and fog patches, these clearing and sunny spells then coming through. More sunshine after the clearance of early mist and fog through the former Yugoslavia. Further showers it looks like showers affecting much of Greece with more persistent, sometimes heavy rain in Turkey.
Bulgaria and Romania will have morning mist and fog, but this clearing to leave some sunny spells.
A windy, unsettled day in the Baltic States and southern Finland with some periods of rain here. Showers to the north. For southern Sweden there will be strong winds and some heavy wintry showers, whilst most of Norway is going to be dry and bright, although wintry showers cannot be ruled out in the far south.

Wednesday
Showers into the north of Spain through today, and feeling much colder here too. Mainly fair for the rest of mainland Spain and Portugal, with showers too in the Balearics. Further cloud and showers will be pushing southwards through France, and these may be heavy at times. Feeling cold with showers too in the Low Countries and Germany, although northern Germany may be brighter later. A chilly day in Poland too with some wintry showers here.
Cloud and periods of rain, turning sleety, through Austria and Hungary as well as through Switzerland.
Italy looks set to have an unsettled day with cloud and rain here at times, some of it heavy. More cloud and rain or showers through Greece and much of Turkey, but much of Bulgaria and Romania should stay dry.
The wintry showers continue in the Baltic States, with only a few showers in Finland. Some cloud for the south of Sweden with a few showers here, but drier to the north. A frosty day in Norway, staying cold but bright throughout.
