Low pressure brings very unsettled weather to the west, but higher pressure remains in the east

Today
Low pressure in control of the weather over much of western Europe. This will be bringing strong winds and heavy periods of rain through Portugal and Spain. Eastern Spain should be dry with sunny spells. Across central and western France the winds will be strong, and there will be some heavy rain at times. Cloud and winds over the Low Countries bringing periods of rain. Broken cloud for Germany where there may be some sunny spells. A chilly day in Poland after a morning frost.
More central and southern parts of Europe should have a drier day. There will be some sunshine, although some fog too through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland. This fine weather extends into Italy as well as the former Yugoslavia, with some periods of sunshine here. More sunshine to come across Greece, although cloud and rain affecting most of Turkey.
Some rain through Bulgaria, with early frost and fog over Romania. Fair in the Ukraine with sunny spells.
Over the Baltic States there will be some good spells of sunshine. Mainly dry too through Finland, although snow later in the north. Sweden should be generally dry and bright with sunshine, although snow and some wind in the far north. Some cloud and showers into Denmark later, but overall and dry day, and mainly dry in Norway too.

Wednesday
Low pressure brings heavy showers into the west of France, with these showers also affecting Portugal and the north of Spain too. Some showery rain and cloud for the east and south of Spain, although the Balearics stay dry. Further cloud and rain extending through eastern parts of France and northwards into the Low Countries. This rain reaching western Germany later in the day, although most of Germany is going to be dry with sunny spells. More dry weather with sunshine across Poland.
Dry with sunny spells across Austria and Hungary. The fine weather also affects Italy and the former Yugoslavia, although there may be some frost and fog in the morning. fair weather for Greece, but more unsettled in Turkey with cloud and periods of rain here. Morning frost and fog across Bulgaria and Romania, this clearing to sunshine.
Fair in the Baltic States in plenty of sunshine. More sunshine through Finland and staying dry as well. A fair day in Sweden with sunny spells, but cloud and rain into Denmark and the south of Sweden. Northern and central Sweden will be dry and bright too.
