Rain and strong winds through northern Europe, a risk of some rain in the Mediterranean too

Today
A mainly dry day over most of Spain and Portugal, although showers could affect eastern coasts of Spain. There may be some unsettled weather through the Balearics as well, with the risk of some rather heavy showers or rain here. For France is is going to be a misty start to the day, with some fog patches in places and an early frost too. These should clear away and then the morning and afternoon should be dry with sunny spells. Similar weather for the Low Countries, GermanyFor Italy the day will have more cloud in the south, although it will be dry to the north with morning fog. The cloud to the south may bring some periods of rain. This cloud and rain extends through Greece and into Turkey too, where there could be a few heavier bursts at times.
Through Bulgaria and Romania morning frost and fog patches will be giving way to sunny spells and mainly dry conditions, after an early frost.
To the north the Baltic States will become breezy with cloud increasing later in the day. Over Finland it stays windy with outbreaks of rain or snow at times, some of this heavy in places. Cloud and rain spreads through Sweden and Denmark, accompanied by strong winds. More cloud and rain, sleet or snow in Norway too.

Thursday
Some unsettled conditions along the eastern coasts of Spain today, with cloud and showers for many. Further showers in the Balearics too, a few of them on the heavy side. Over the rest of Spain and Portugal the day should be dry with some sunshine. More cloud and some rain affects the north of France, whilst southern areas should be dry with sunny spells. Wind and rain affecting the Low Countries and northern Germany, as well as northern Poland later in the day. Becoming windy here as well. Through southern Germany the day will be dry and bright with sunny spells.
Northern Italy remains dry, although there could be morning fog. Through central and southern Italy it will be cloudier with some showery outbreaks of rain at times. Greece and Turkey should be dry overall with sunny spells. More dry weather in Bulgaria and Romania with some sunshine here too.
For the Baltic States the day is going to be staying windy with some cloud and outbreaks of rain at times. More cloud and some periods of rain in southern Finland, this turning to snow. Sweden stays unsettled with more cloud and rain to come, with similar unsettled weather in Norway too.
