Cold, gales for Scandinavia

Today
Cold, northerly gales will affect Scandinavia today. A wet day for Finland with spells of heavy rain. Showers across parts of Norway will turn increasingly to snow while Sweden is dry with sunny spells. While Scotland will see rain, high pressure over France is to give England, France, Germany, Belgium and Holland a fine, dry and bright day. Mild here as well.
Further heavy showers are forecast for Italy and the former Yugoslavia. Continued dry and fine across Iberia today with long sunny spells. Northern Poland along with the Baltic States and Russia will be damp with rain. Sunny skies will prevail across Switzerland, Austria and the former Czech Republic into Romania and southern Poland. Largely dry today for Greece and Turkey.

Friday
Continued very windy across Finland today and cold but a drier day here. More heavy rain is expected across Norway and later this spread into northern parts of Sweden. Continued fair and dry for England, The Low Countries and France with some sunshine and mild temperatures. Some light rain is expected for northern parts of Germany and Holland.
It's looking fine, warm and sunny across Portugal and Spain today. Better too for Italy with a dry, mostly sunny day to come. High pressure will also keep it fine across the Alpine Region into the former Czech Republic, southern Germany and Poland. Light rain is expected across Russia into Belarus and the Ukraine while a dry day is forecast for the Baltic States. Expect showers across Greece and Bulgaria with heavy, thundery rain to affect Turkey.
