Unsettled through southern Europe with periods of rain in Spain and Greece; heavy rain and strong winds in Scandinavia
Today
A fair day over Spain and Portugal with some good spells of sunshine to come through here. Most of central and southern France should enjoy a fair day too, but over the north of France winds will be increasing and a band of rain will spread from the north in the afternoon. This rain turning more persistent through the Low Countries and Germany, with much colder, but brighter weather following from the north. Heavy rain affects the south of Poland, whilst the north will be drier and chilly with sunny spells.
For most of Austria, Hungary and Switzerland Sunday is going to be a cloudy day. There will be some periods of rain spreading from the north and it is going to be feeling cool. ain too for northern parts of Italy, although this quite showers. The former Yugoslavia has lots of cloud with some drizzle at times.
Into Greece there will be sunny spells and dry conditions, this affecting much of Cyprus and Crete too as well as much of Turkey. Northern Turkey has thicker cloud with some showers. Patchy rain in Bulgaria and Romania, with the winds increasing later.
Further north there will be snow showers in the Baltic States with a chance of more persistent sleet or snow over Finland, this spreading into northern Norway. For southern Norway the day should be drier with sunny spells, and some sunshine. A cold day in Denmark in a mix of sunshine and wintry showers, while more frequent, sometimes heavy snow showers affect western Norway.
Monday
A fine day again through Spain and Portugal, lots of sunshine throughout the day. A fair day too for France, although a cold start with a widespread frost. Breezier in the Low Countries with a few showers drifting off the see, and feeling chilly. Breezy with showers, some wintry over Germany, and similar weather to come in Poland. Cloudier skies for Austria and Hungary with a chance of some showers later.
A chilly day for Italy, mainly dry and sunny to the north but more cloud and some showers in the south. The cloud and showers extending to the south of the former Yugoslavia. For Greece there will be a few showers, whilst a band of rain extends through northern Greece and into northern Turkey. Southern areas should be drier and brighter.
For Finland and the Baltic States there will be more cloud and some periods of showery sleet. Sweden should be dry with plenty of sunshine, whilst a few snow showers continue over western Norway. For Denmark it should be mainly dry with some sunny spells here.
