Unsettled, windy and wet in the eastern Mediterranean

Today
Very windy across the United Kingdom and northern and central France with outbreaks of rain. After a dry morning rain too will push into the Low Countries in the afternoon. After a frosty, cold morning it's a fine, sunny day across Germany, Poland, the Baltic States into Russia and Belarus. Dry as well across the former Czech Republic and The Alpine Region under sunny skies.
An heavy area of heavy rain is expected to move into Portugal then into Spain during the day. It stays fine and sunny for the Balearics, much of southern France and Italy with good sunny spells, not overly warm though. Another significant low pressure area in the eastern Mediterranean will keep it unsettled, windy and wet for Greece, Hungary, Bulgaria and Turkey with spells of heavy rain and showers. A dry, cold but mostly sunny day for Norway and Sweden with morning frost. Parts of Finland will have some light rain, drizzle and freezing drizzle at times as temperatures struggle just above freezing.

Continued windy and very unsettled across the United Kingdom, France and Spain today with persistent rain and also heavy showers though here it will be a bit milder today. Showers will affect the Balearics today but also expect some sunshine as well. Much of Scandinavia should be dry and quite sunny today but it will be bitterly cold across Finland. High pressure across eastern parts of Europe will give much of the region a dry, settled day.
Expect a cold day with lots of sunshine across Germany, Poland, The Baltic States into Russia and the Ukraine after a hard morning frost. Dry as well across Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic today. Chilly but fine and sunny weather will prevail across Italy into the former Yugoslavia and Greece with more rain to come for Turkey.
