Fine, sunny across central Mediterranean

Today
A wet windy day for the United Kingdom into Belgium, northern Germany and the Netherlands. This rain then spreads into northern parts of France in the afternoon. Winds will reach gale force around the England Channel today. Another area of rain will be moving across Poland into Belarus into western Russia and the Baltic States where it will be mixed with snow. Patchy rain across the south of France should die away in the afternoon.
For Portugal, Spain, the Balearics and Italy expect a fine, dry and sunny day. Greece will be cloudier with some rain and showers mainly in the west. Fine though into Turkey. Mostly dry across the Alpine Region with a cloudy day with snow flurries across the former Czech Republic. It looks mainly fine and dry across much of Scandinavia but later wind and rain spread into Norway.

A windy day with sunshine and heavy showers across the United Kingdom . An area of heavy rain sweeps across Sweden, France and Germany into Poland as it turns sunnier with showers for northern France in the afternoon. Windy too with showers across the Low Countries mixed with sunny spells. A dry day across Finland, The Baltic States into Russia and the Ukraine with sunny spells after a frosty morning.
Heavy showers will affect western parts of Norway with sunny spells in the east. A band of rain will be edging south across Iberia but continued dry across southern Spain. A few snow showers are expected across the Alps with dry, sunny weather prevailing from the Balearics into Italy, Greece, the former Yugoslavia, Romania and into Bulgaria
