Low pressure brings frequent bands of rain and strong winds, snow to the north

Friday
Low pressure brings an area of showery rain eastwards through Spain, with some showers affecting northern Portugal too. There could be snow over the northern mountains of Spain. Heavier rain across France and windy here as well. A breezy and rather cloudy day over the Low Countries with some drizzle. Breezy and mild too over Germany with a few spots of drizzle to the far north, mainly dry elsewhere. Similar conditions through Poland, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Over northern Italy there will be some cloud and further periods of rain, whilst southern Italy will be drier and brighter. Showers across western Greece, but for most of the country the day should be dry with sunshine. Dry weather over Turkey in sunshine, and staying generally dry through Bulgaria and Romania too.
A far more unsettled day across the Baltic States with heavy rain here and the winds to gale force. The rain falling as snow for many. Snowy and windy across Finland, with snow showers and unsettled conditions across Sweden and Norway.

Saturday
A ridge of high pressure brings better weather through Portugal and Spain today. There will be sunny spells for many places and it should be feeling warmer too. Drier as well over most of France, although increased cloud gives a few spots of rain to western France later. More cloud and some rain across the Low Countries, with heavier periods of rain for much of northern and western Germany. A few showers across Poland, some sunny spells here as well. Breezy for Austria and Hungary, with some rain for Switzerland.
Italy will be unsettled with cloud and periods of rain, these heavy in the north. Greece is going to be dry with sunny spells throughout the day. Turkey should be staying dry as well with more sunshine here. Through the Baltic States there will be broken cloud and some sunny spells and it should be breezy too. More cloud and some outbreaks of rain across Finland. Very unsettled in southern Sweden, Norway and Denmark bringing heavy periods of rain here. Drier to the north with a few showers.
