Low pressure brings gales and wintry showers in the southeast, but high pressure keeps most of Europe fine

Tuesday
High pressure is going to be bringing a mainly fine day across most of Spain and Portugal. Sunny spells here lasting throughout the day. Some more sunshine across France and through much of central Europe, including the Low Countries and Germany. However, there may be a problem at first with some fog patches, these slow to clear a few places. For Austria, Hungary and Switzerland similar conditions prevail, although once the mist and fog has cleared it should become brighter with sunny spells.
Across Italy high pressure holds firm with a risk of morning fog here, again this slow to clear, but some warm sunshine once the fog has blown away. Fair across Greece. However, as we head into the Aegean and Turkey things are much more unsettled. Strong winds and showers or rain here this turning to snow across Turkey and northern Greece. Cold air and some freezing fog for Romania and Bulgaria.
The baltic States will be drizzly and murky, fog patches possibly a problem here. More cloud and rain or sleet for Finland, with a few bright spells but generally dry weather affecting much of Sweden. A few spots of drizzle for western Denmark, with more persistent rain over southern Norway, this turning to snow. brighter for the north of Norway and Sweden with snow showers here.

Wednesday
High pressure still brings fine weather to most of Spain and Portugal, although a cold front is going to push cloud and showery rain into the northwest. Some cloud and showers too for the north of France, but across central and southern France the weather stays dry with some sunshine, although watch for rain developing in the far southeast. Cloud and some outbreaks of rain are likely in the Low Countries and far north of Germany, whilst southern Germany and Poland should stay dry with some sunny spells through the day. For Austria and Hungary it should be dry, although some showers are likely in Switzerland.
Northern Italy will have some showers too, but for most of Italy the day should be dry with some good spells of sunshine. Fair through Greece with sunshine here, but Turkey is going to be staying cold with snow showers in the north.
A windy day in the Baltic States, some cloud and rain here, with heavy rain and snow in Finland. More rain across the south of Sweden too, whilst Norway has a cold day with sunshine and showers. Early rain in Denmark clearing to sunny spells and occasional snow showers.
