Today
A windy day across Europe with bitterly cold winds and temperatures across northern and eastern parts. Windy across the United Kingdom with outbreaks of rain though snow will affect northern areas. Light rain will fall across eastern France and this moves into the Low Countries in the afternoon. Heavy rain and showers are also expected across Iberia into the Balearics and southern France. Northern Italy will also have a wet day with central and southern parts of Italy dry and sunnier.
Much colder across eastern Europe with heavy snow across the Alpine Region and light snow and snow flurries across the Czech Republic. Light snow will also fall across Denmark with sub zero temperatures and snow showers expected across much of Scandinavia. A cold but dry day across Germany, Poland, The Baltic States into Russia, Belarus, Hungary and Romania with sunnier spells but with a severe frost. Dry too across Bulgaria and Greece with outbreaks of rain expected for Turkey.
Friday
Milder cross the United Kingdom today with outbreaks of rain spreading in for the west. Light rain to come to for France though this looks heavier in the far south. Patchy rain is also expected for Belgium with another dry day to come for Germany, Poland, The Baltic States, Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine. Very cold and dry as well for the former Czech Republic with further snow showers expected across Austria and Switzerland.
A dry, sunnier day for Portugal and Spain with rain clearing the Balearics while falls across Italy. Fair and dry across Greece and Turkey today with sunny skies for a very cold Hungary, Romania, former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria.
