Normal service resumed as high pressure builds over soutuhern Europe
Friday
High pressure building through Iberia today is going to be bringing some good spells of sunshine to Spain and Portugal. Cloud and rain are going to be affecting much of France, this light overall, and windy along the Channel coasts. Becoming breezy and damp through the Low Countries too after a fine start. Germany should be largely dry, although some showers could occur to the north, whilst Poland is cloudier with showers or rain at first, the drier later. Through Hungary there could be a few showers, but Austria and Switzerland should stay dry.
A mainly dry day in Italy with early frost and fog. Some showers developing to the south, but generally it should be staying dry. Showers for Crete, but for Cyprus, Greece and Turkey the day should be dry with sunny spells. Mainly dry weather through Bulgaria and Romania.
Windier with some showery rain through Finland, with more persistent rain and possibly snow over southern and eastern Sweden. More showers or rain to the west of Norway, but dry elsewhere. Morning rain clears from Denmark to leave the day breezy but mainly dry, ahead of more rain arriving by evening.
Saturday
A large area of high pressure builds over much of western Europe. This is going to bring fine conditions to much of Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine. The sunshine extends through much of France too, and it will be mild. Breezy still in northern France with some rain affecting the Low Countries. More rain through central Germany, but brighter to the north and south. Heavier rain sweeping east through Poland, followed by showers. Some cloud and afew spots of rain across Hungary and northern Austria, whilst Switzerland should stay dry with some sunshine.
More sunshine to come in Italy, although there could be some fog and frost in sheltered areas in the morning. Sunshine and dry too across Greece, with dry conditions throughout Turkey. Some periods of showery rain spreading into Bulgaria and Romania.
Stronger winds for the baltic Statyes, heavy rain here and the winds to gale force. heavy snow and gale force winds in Finland, with gales and snow for much of Sweden too. Snow showers and sunny spells in Norway, and the showers turning increasingly wintry through Denmark/
