Very unsettled for much of Europe
Today
Plenty of showers will redevelop across the United Kingdom today. A dry, bright day with sunny spells for Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium into northern France. An area of rain will stretch from Russia into the Baltic States, Belarus into Poland, Germany and central and southern parts of France.
Wet and windy cross Portugal and Spain with spells of heavy, thundery rain. Thundery rain also spreads into the Balearics across Corsica, Sardinia into northern Italy. Fine and dry across southern Italy. Scattered showers will fall across the Former Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Romania and Hungary. A fine, sunny day across Bulgaria and Greece. Largely dry with sunny spells and just a few showers across Turkey. Lots of dry weather to come across Scandinavia with a few showers across Norway and Finland.
Friday
A very warm day to come across south eastern parts of Europe and the central and eastern Mediterranean. Heavy showers will persist across the United Kingdom with light rain lingering across Germany. A heavy area of rain will extend across central Europe from the Ukraine into Romania, the former Czech Republic across the Alpine Region, northern Italy into southern France and Spain.
A number of showers will affect The Low Countries and northern parts of France. Showers will affect the Balearics with a fine sunny day across southern Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey where temperatures will be in the high twenties. Anther belt of rain will affect the Baltic States, Poland and Holland with a belt of sleet and snow across Finland. Much of Norway and Sweden looks fine and sunny.
