Sunshine across most of southern Europe, but turning more unsettled to the north
Saturday
A warm day to come across Spain and Portugal; sunny spells for many places, but the risk of a shower developing in southern Spain later. A fine day over the whole of France thanks to high pressure being close by bringing good spells of sunshine. Some hazy sunshine and dry weather across the Low Countries and most of Germany, although there could be some drizzle on northern German coasts. In Poland it should be generally dry and bright, although a few spots of rain are likely to the east.
For Hungary there is a risk of some showers, but generally it should be dry with sunny spells. More sunshine to come across Austria and Switzerland.
Over Italy it is going to be dry with some sunny spells. A few showers in the far east later in the day. For Greece there is an increased risk of showers and these could turn heavy and thundery. More showers for Crete. Over northern Turkey it could be cloudy with some drizzle, but the south should be fair with sunshine to come here. Most of Bulgaria and Romania stay dry with some sunshine throughout the day.
To the north the Baltic States will be dry with sunshine, and it will be staying this way over Finland as well. A few showers to come over southern Sweden, with some thicker cloud and drizzle moving through Denmark with more persistent rain over southwestern parts of Norway.
Sunday
Another fair day to come for most of Spain and Portugal. There is the risk of some showers developing over the high ground of inland Spain. Further showers for the north and west of France, but eastern areas should be drier. Sunshine through the Low Countries, but showers developing in the afternoon, some of them heavy at times. A mix of sunny spells and scattered showers across Germany and Poland.
For Austria and Hungary there will be plenty of dry weather around, but a few showers can't be ruled out. Further showers developing over Switzerland, although these are going to be well scattered.
Italy will have a mainly fair day with sunny spells, although there could be a risk of showers in central and southern areas. More widespread showers affecting Greece once again, with further showers over Turkey too. For Bulgaria and Romania it should be mainly dry, although thicker cloud could bring some drizzle or light rain to the east.
Further north there will be cloud and some rain across the Baltic States, and a wet day is likely for Finland as well. More cloud and drizzle or rain affecting Sweden and Norway.
