High pressure building over western Europe, but low pressure still in the east
Monday
High pressure is going to be over the west of Europe today. This brings fair weather to Portugal and Spain with some sunny spells here. Showers for the north and west of France, some of these heavy at times. It should be drier over some parts of southern France, but in the southeast there will be more cloud and some showers or rain. Heavy showers across the Low Countries and Germany, these merging to longer periods of rain at times. The rain also affects the west and north of Poland, but the south and east should be drier.
Austria and Hungary will be unsettled again with more showers, some of these heavy at times and merging to longer spells of rain. Cloudier skies too for Switzerland with more outbreaks of rain or showers.
Northern parts of Italy will be cloudier with some periods of rain here too. For the rest of Italy it will be drier with some sunny spells, but also showers. It will be a showery day through Greece as well, some of the showers heavy at times. Showers forming over inland areas of Turkey, but for coastal regions it should be drier. Bulgaria and Romania have some cloud and outbreaks of rain.
The Baltic States should be mainly dry with some sunny spells, but for Finland cloud will increase bringing some showers later. A showery day across Sweden, Denmark and Norway with some showers forming.
Tuesday
The high pressure area builds further east on Tuesday. This brings another fair day to Portugal and Spain with some good spells of sunshine. Over France the weather will be staying dry with some good spells of sunshine after a cold start to the day. A few showers over the Low Countries, but sunny spells here too. More sunshine and a few showers in Germany, feeling cold here too. Cloud and some outbreaks of drizzle over Germany. Broken cloud and showers over Austria and Hungary, with Switzerland being mainly dry with sunny spells.
Some showers for the north of Italy once again, but in southern Italy should be dry with some sunny spells. mainly dry across Greece with some sunshine here, and staying dry in southern Turkey, although showers in the north. For Bulgaria and Romania some showers are going to be breaking out through the day, and these could be heavy at times.
To the north it will be rather cloudy over the Baltic States and perhaps drizzly too. Mainly fair weather for Finland, but showers forming once again across Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
