Rain through central parts of Europe and showers to the north; fair to the south with lots of sunshine

Friday
Fair weather for much of Spain and Portugal with some good spells of sunshine. However, there will be cloud and periods of rain affecting the north of Spain, some of these heavy at times. A swathe of heavy rain and showers extends through southern and central France. This rain also through Switzerland and the south of Germany and then into northern Poland as well. A few showers following through northern Germany and the Low Countries as well as parts of northern France.
For southern Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia the day is going to be dry with sunshine. Showers in western Hungary, but dry in the east and mainly dry in Austria. Showers and some outbreaks of rain extending into the far north of Italy.
For the vast majority of Italy the day is going to be dry with plenty of sunshine through all places. There will be dry weather and lots of sunshine for Greece as well, with Cyprus and Crete seeing plenty of warm sunshine. This extends into Turkey and northwards through Bulgaria and Romania.
The Baltic States is dry overall with some sunshine, and it stays dry through Finland as well. More cloud and some outbreaks of rain over the south of Sweden and southern Norway. Showers moving through Denmark, some of them heavy at times. A few showers over northern Sweden and Norway.

Saturday
More rain and showers to come over northern Spain today. Most of Portugal and Spain should be dry with lots of sunshine once again. Some cloud over southern France, with showers in the far southwest and some showers around the western Alps. Elsewhere the day should be dry with some sunny spells. Drier weather across the Low Countries and Germany, although there will be some showers in the far north. A band of showery rain passing east over Poland, with drier weather following to the west.
Cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain through the Czech Republic, Slovakia and into Austria and Switzerland.
Through Italy the day is going to be dry with plenty of sunshine, the best of this through central and southern areas. Plenty of sunshine again across Greece and Turkey, although there is the risk of a shower breaking out over southwest Turkey. More sunshine across Bulgaria and Romania and feeling very warm here.
Some showery rain across the Baltic States, with heavier more persistent rain passing northwards through Finland. A far more unsettled day for Norway and Sweden as well as Denmark. Plenty of rain and showers here, some of these heavy at times.
