Hot for Spain and through the eastern Mediterranean

Today
A dry day with sunny spells for the United Kingdom and much of northern France as well. More in the way of heavy showers will affect southern France but some sunshine here too. An area of rain and heavy showers will stretch from the Baltic States into Poland, the former Czech Republic, The Alpine Region into northern Italy. Here the showers will be heavy with a risk of thunderstorms too.
It's a day of sunshine and showers for Denmark, Holland and the Low Countries but most should be quite light. Largely dry across Germany except for a few showers in the south. Mainly a dry day across Sweden but rain is likely across Norway and Finland. Sunny, dry and very warm across Spain today and sunny as well into the Balearics across into the south of Italy. Hot across Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary today with a sunny day to come. Very warm and summery as well across Greece and Turkey.

Monday
High pressure will give western Europe some fine weather today. So for the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and much of Germany expect a dry day with good sunny spells. Very warm for Spain with a few showers developing in the far south otherwise sunny. Expect an area of heavy, thundery showers across the Alpine Region into the former Czech Republic and parts of Romania. Some showers too in the far north of Italy otherwise dry and sunny for much of Italy.
Another warm day across Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Hungary with sunny skies. Another belt of rain will lie from western Russia across the Baltic States into Belarus. Rain too is expected across Norway, northern Sweden and Finland. Highs will be around 21C in both London and Brussels, 24C for Paris, 33C for Madrid, 28C in Rome, 36C in Bucharest, 35C in Athens, 21C in Warsaw, 214 for Berlin and 23C for Stockholm.
