More unsettled in the north and east of Europe

Today
A fresher day across mainland Europe today. Lots of fine, dry weather to come across the United Kingdom and across France with sunny skies. Frequent and often heavy showers are expected across Scandinavia, the Low Counties, Holland, Germany, The Alpine Region, northern Poland and these push into the Baltic States and Belarus by the afternoon. These showers may merge into longer spells of rain across Norway. Another band of heavy showery rain will affect western Russia today.
Still hot and sunny across Iberia today and sunny weather will prevail across the Balearics into Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey. Quite hot too in the eastern Mediterranean and across Bulgaria and Hungary with sunny skies. A few sharp showers are likely across the former Yugoslavia but sunny and dry across Romania. Highs will be around 20C in London, 21C for Brussels, 22C for Paris, 37C for Madrid, 29C in Rome, 34C in Bucharest, 36C in Athens, 23C in Warsaw and 22C for Stockholm.

Monday
A fine, sunny day across England today. Fine too across the Low Countries but outbreaks of steady rain will fall across the Netherlands and much of Germany today. Very unsettled and quite breezy across Scandinavia with plenty of heavy showers and longer spells of rain. Rather wet to across northern parts of Poland, Belarus, The Baltic States and western parts of Russia with showery rain, heavy in places. Across Spain and Portugal it's going to be another hot one and dry with temperatures over 40C in the south west. Fine and sunny too across the Balearics into Sardinia and Corsica. Warm for Italy but with a few showers for the afternoon across central and northern areas. Mostly fine across the Alpine Region with some showers expected across the former Yugoslavia. Fine, sunny and warm weather too for Hungary and Bulgaria.
