Hot in the south and east, but some rain in the northwest

Thursday
Plenty of sunshine across Portugal and Spain today, although there will be rain in the far northwest. For southern parts of France the day will be fine with lots of sunshine too. However, thicker cloud and some thundery periods of rain affecting northern and western parts of France. Thunderstorms breaking out across the Low Countries. Germany should be fine with some good spells of sunshine, and this sunshine extends into Poland and the Czech Republic.
Austria and Hungary will have a few showers here and there, but some sunshine too. Heavy showers in eastern Switzerland, whilst the west should be dry with sunshine.
Showers over the far north of Italy, while the rest of the country should be dry with lots of sunshine too. A very warm or even hot day over Greece, and this extending into Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania will be dry with lots more sunshine.
To the north there will be dry weather and lots of sunshine for the Baltic States and southern Finland, while rain affects the far north. Fair for Sweden and Norway, although there will be some showers over the hills.

Friday
Lots of sunshine over Portugal and Spain and feeling very warm here too. Thundery showers over southeastern France, while the north and west it should be dry with some sunshine. Fair for the Low Countries, plenty of sunshine here too. Heavier, thundery rain will be through Germany, this extending southwards into Switzerland and the far north of Italy. For Poland, Austria and Hungary the day should be dry with lots of sunshine.
The rest of Italy is likely to have a fair day with sunny spells, the best of them to the south. Lots of sunshine through Greece where it will be very warm too. More warm weather and sunshine affecting all parts of Greece, with this sunshine extending through Bulgaria and Romania too.
The Baltic States will have plenty of sunshine as well, this extending into Finland. Over Sweden and Norway the weather should be dry with sunny spells, although heavy and thundery rain will be spreading to Denmark.
