Fresher across Europe on Friday

Today
Lots of heavy showers to come across the United Kingdom and western parts of France today but some sunshine too. An area of more persistent rain is expected to lie across Denmark, Holland into western Germany across the Low countries into eastern parts of France and some heavy, thundery downpours are also possible. Lots of heavy showers too for the Alpine Region today as well as across the Czech Republic. Very warm, dry and sunny weather will prevail across Portugal, Spain into the Balearics and Italy. A few sharp showers will develop across the former Yugoslavia Fine and sunny across much of Scandinavia today and with high pressure dominating eastern Europe it looks very warm and dry for Poland, Belarus, the Ukraine into Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria. Outbreaks of rain will affect the Baltic States and western parts of Russia. Very warm and sunny across Greece and Turkey today.

Friday
An area of heavy rain will move into south west England and into the north west of Spain but for the bulk of England and Spain it's a fine, dry day of sunny spells. Still very warm across Spain. Sunny and dry as well for all of France and western Germany while an area of rain affects eastern Germany, the Low Countries, Holland, Denmark, southern Poland and Belarus. Another fine, dry and sunny day to come across Scandinavia. For The Alpine Region, Italy, Greece and Turkey it remains sunny and dry while a number of showers will develop across the former Yugoslavia. Mostly fine and warm across the Czech Republic into Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria with sunny spells and just the odd shower.
