Thunderstorms developing in south east
Today
It continues very warm to hot across much of Europe today and while there will be some sunshine, lots of heavy showers with a risk of thunder will develop across the United Kingdom, France and the Benelux Countries. Heavy showers too across southern Germany with the north fine and sunny. High pressure will keep northern Poland, Scandinavia and Holland dry and sunny but southern pats of Poland will have heavy showers. Fine and sunny too across the Baltic Region into Russia today.
Very hot and sunny across Portugal, Spain into the south of France across the Balearics into Italy, Greece and Turkey. Plenty of heavy showers and thunderstorms will develop across the former Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.
Highs will be around 28C in London, 27C for Brussels, 28C for Paris, 39C for Madrid, 27C in Rome, 26C in Bucharest, 32C in Athens, 23C in Warsaw, 25C in Berlin and 26C for Stockholm.
Sunday
Another very warm day across Europe today. There will be some heavy showers toady across the United Kingdom with another area stretching from the Low Countries into eastern and southern Germany. The rest of France and Germany looks fine and sunny. The hot, sunny weather continues across Iberia into the Balearics and into Corsica and Sardinia. There is a risk of some heavy showers today for central and northern parts of Italy but fine and dry in the south.
A number of showers too for Austria into the former Czech Republic, Hungary and Bulgaria along with the former Yugoslavia as well. Very heavy showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Romania today with Greece and Turkey sunny and dry. The fine, settled and sunny spells of weather continues across Scandinavia, Poland, Denmark, Holland and the Baltic States.
