Strong winds, sleet, rain and snow in the north of Europe

Tuesday
Showery bursts of rain over southern Portugal and the south of Spain today. Over the rest of Iberia the day should be dry with some sunny spells, although there is always a risk of a few showers along northern coasts. A windy day in France with heavy showers in the north and west, whilst the rest of the country will be dry with some bright or sunny spells. Windy with rain and sleet, perhaps turning to snow over the Low Countries and Germany, this moving into Poland. More cloud and rain over Austria and Hungary with brighter weather in Switzerland.
Cloud and showery rain over the north of Italy, some of them heavy. Central areas have more patchy rain, whilst the south will be drier with some sunny spells. Sunshine and mainly dry conditions through Greece. Turkey will have showers, some of them heavy and wintry through central and northern areas. Bulgaria and Romania should be mainly dry with sunny spells.
Cold through Finland and the Baltic States, dry here. Snow and stronger winds spreading to the far south of Sweden, the rest of Sweden and Norway should be dry and cold.

Wednesday
High pressure builds through Portugal and Spain there will be dry conditions with sunny spells, although some cloud and drizzle could affect northern areas. Cloud and some drizzle in the far southwest of France too, whilst the rest of France is bright and cold with sunny spells and just a few showers. More showers through the Low Countries and Germany, most of them wintry. Thicker cloud, sleet and snow through Poland with fairly strong winds here. Further wintry showers through Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Into Italy the say is going to be unsettled. There will be heavy showers, some prolonged and these showers turning to sleet and snow over the north. Thicker cloud through Greece with some rain here. Heavy showers over Turkey with cloud, rain and sleet over Romania and Bulgaria.
Cold conditions over the Baltic States with wintry precipitation here. Cold and dry through Finland as well as most of Sweden and Norway. Southern Norway will have cloud, sleet and snow as well as through Denmark.
