Today
Quite chilly across Europe today with a drier, sunnier day across the United Kingdom. Outbreaks of snow are forecast for eastern parts of France and this will be heavy across Switzerland. For Belgium, Holland, Denmark and western parts of Germany expect a cloudy day with outbreaks of rain. An area of rain is also expected across northern Spain with the south fair and dry. Spells of rain will affect the Balearics with heavy, thundery rain into Italy and the former Yugoslavia. Just a few showers today across Greece with a dry, sunny day across Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. Cold across Scandinavia with snow forecast for Norway and Finland while the snow will be mixed with sleet across Sweden. Some light snow to come across the Baltic States with a cold but dry day for much of Russia.
Expect top temperatures of 4C in London, 3C for Brussels, 5C for Paris, 6C for Madrid, 164 in Rome, 13C in Bucharest, 17C in Athens, 3C in Warsaw, 5C in Berlin, 0C in Moscow and 1C for Stockholm.

Rain preceded by heavy snow is expected to spread into the United Kingdom today. Light snow will persist across eastern France and will move into western Germany. Snow an snow showers will also fall across the Low Countries into Denmark today with snow persisting across the Alpine Region. Western Poland will have outbreaks of snow while rain is forecast in the west. Heavy rain to come across western France and the north of Spain today. Central and southern Spain looks fine and sunny as does the Balearics. Apart form some light rain in the far south of Italy, it's a dry day while heavy rain and thundery showers are likely across Greece and Turkey. Further showers to come across the former Yugoslavia with rain and sleet into Romania. Cold with outbreaks of snow across much of Scandinavia, this heavy across Finland. Light snow to come across the Baltic area but continued fair and dry across Russia, Belarus and the Ukraine.
