A bit milder across western Europe
Today
Quite a cold day to come for central and eastern parts of Europe today. Lost of cloud to come across the United Kingdom but generally dry and not so cold. A sunnier day to come across the Low Counties, Holland and Denmark. Still a good deal of cloud cover across France but mainly dry apart from some snow over the French Alps. Outbreaks of light snow will fall across Poland and parts of eastern Germany and across the Alpine Region too where it will be quite windy. That area of light snow will also stretch up across Belarus into western Russia and the Baltic States as it soon clears Finland. Spain and Portugal look to have the sunniest and mildest weather today. Fine today as well across the Balearics. Expect a few showers across Italy with outbreaks of more persistent and thundery rain to fall across Greece, Turkey, Hungary and Bulgaria. Cold but lots of dry sunny weather will prevail across Norway and Sweden.
Expect top temperatures of 6C in London, 3C for Brussels, 5C for Paris, 14C for Madrid, 9C in Rome, 6C in Bucharest, 9C in Athens, 1C in Warsaw, 0C in Berlin, -1C in Moscow and -2C for Stockholm.
Sunday
A milder day across England with a dry day to come. As an area of rain spreads across the Low Counties, Holland and Denmark in the morning it changes to snow across Germany and becomes heavy in the afternoon. Some light snow too across Poland and Austria today with an area of heavier snow moving across Belarus, the Ukraine into Russia. Outbreaks of rain spill in across Norway with Sweden and Finland staying fine and dry but cold. Another fair and dry day to come across France with sunny skies in the south. Fine and sunny again as well across Iberia and the Balearics. Much of Italy also looks dry with sunny spells while quite a few showers will affect the former Yugoslavia, Greece, Turkey and much of the Balkans.
