More heavy showers in the eastern Mediterranean today, but fair to the west

A fine day to come over Spain and Portugal where high pressure is bringing some good spells of sunshine. There will be fair weather for much of France too, although some cloud and patchy rain could affect the far north. The Low Countries and northern Germany may have some cloud and patchy drizzle, whilst more southern areas are dry with some bright spells. More sunny spells through Poland and dry here whilst a few showers affect Austria and Hungary. Switzerland should be dry with some sunshine.
A fair day to come over most of Italy with sunny spells, and the fine weather continues through Greece and Crete. Turkey may have some heavy showers and the risk of rain in the east, this affecting Cyprus too. For Bulgaria and Romania the day will be a chilly one with a few wintry showers, and it should be mainly dry.
To the north there will be plenty of cloud through Finland with some sleety outbreaks, these extending to Finland too. Most of Sweden should have a dry day with some sunshine, whilst cloud and some rain troubles Denmark and Norway.
Sunday
Dry again across Spain and Portugal with some more sunshine to come here. Further sunshine for central and southern parts of France, but for the north the skies will be more cloudy and there is a risk of some rain here. Further rain and sleet pushing south through Germany and the Low Countries, this also affecting Poland. The rain will be light by the time it reaches Austria and Hungary.
For Italy there may be some showers in the east in the afternoon, but for most areas it should be a dry day with some sunny spells. Showers for Greece and Crete, some of them heavy, with further showers affecting Turkey and Cyprus, although there will be sunshine here as well. Bulgaria and Romania should be dry, although rather cold and with a fair amount of cloud.
A breezier day in Finland and the Baltic States with some snow showers here. More persistent sleet and snow and strong winds affecting Sweden, this turning to rain before clearing eastwards through Norway and Denmark to leave sunny spells and showers.
