Rain in southern Spain and Portugal today but dry in many central areas

Tuesday
An unsettled day to come through the southern half of Spain and Portugal with cloud and rain here, extending into the Balearics. The northern half of Iberia and most of France should enjoy a dry day with some sunny spells, although thicker cloud and some rain may affect northwestern France. For the Low Countries the will be largely cloudy with some drizzle on northern coasts, with the north of Germany also having some cloud and outbreaks of rain. Much of southern and central Germany should be dry with sunny spells. For Poland the day is bright with sunshine and dry too, whilst Austria, Hungary and Switzerland are also all dry with some sunny spells here.
A fair day in Italy after an early frost in some sheltered areas. Then dry with sunny spells. Much of Greece and Crete should be dry with some sunshine. Western Turkey may see some rain and showers whilst Cyprus and eastern Turkey is dry. To the north Bulgaria and Romania should remain dry with some sunshine to come here.
A band of patchy rain and sleet extends through the Baltic States and Finland, with rain and sleet following to Sweden, most of it light. A mainly dry and bright day after morning rain clears Denmark, with most of Norway experiencing dry conditions with some sunshine here.

Wednesday
Stronger winds and rain for the Balearic Islands and feeling cold here too. More showery rain and breezy, cool weather across Spain and Portugal, although there will be a few sunny spells too. Some heavy periods of rain affecting central and western parts of France, whilst the east should be dry with some sunny periods. A brighter day in the Low Countries and Germany with some sunny spells and mainly dry conditions. Most of Poland should be dry too with some sunshine here and feeling milder. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland are all dry and mild with some sunny spells.
A warm day with some rain for the northwest of Italy, but drier to the south and east. Mild and dry over Greece with some sunny spells, whilst Turkey has more cloud and some outbreaks of showery rain here. For Bulgaria and Romania it is likely to be cloudy with some outbreaks of rain here and there.
Heading to the north and the day is going to be dry across the Baltic States and milder here too in some sunshine. A fair day in Finland too and remaining dry. More dry and fine weather to come across Sweden and Denmark where it is going to be warm. Much of Norway should be dry and breezy too, although thickening cloud in the west is going to be bringing rain later.
