Wet and windy weather spreads east across the United Kingdom. Generally a cloudy day across France with patchy morning rain tending to die away in the afternoon as it brightens up. Partly to mostly cloudy but dry today for Belgium, Holland and Denmark with some light rain across Germany but snow for the far south. Generally cloudy and damp with light rain across Poland. Rain is forecast for Norway with some light snow for southern parts of Sweden. Finland will be dry in the main with just the odd wintry shower. A dry day across the Baltic States today while an area of heavy rain mixed with snow will affect Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine and this extend south into Romania into Bulgaria, Hungary, the former Yugoslavia into Greece and Turkey. Not quite as windy through the central Mediterranean today but lots of heavy showers will affect Italy. Some showery rain will affect northern parts of Spain but dry and mostly sunny for central and southern Spain into the Balearics.
Expect top temperatures of 121C in London, 9C for Brussels, 11C for Paris, 16C for Madrid, 16C in Rome, 13C in Bucharest, 16C in Athens, 4C in Warsaw, 6C in Berlin, -2C in Moscow and 1C for Stockholm.

A windy day with blustery showers for the United Kingdom today. Outbreaks of rain are forecast for France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and all of Germany. In the afternoon it turns drier and brighter across northern parts of France and Germany as showers replace the rain across The Low Countries. After a dry morning across Poland rain moves in during the afternoon. Spells of rain also push in across Norway and Sweden with snow for Russia. A dry day across the Baltic States into Belarus with sleet and snow across the Ukraine. Some rain to come in the far north of Spain. The bulk of Spain looks dry with sunny spells and this dry weather extends across the Balearics into Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and Greece. Outbreaks of rain are forecast across the former Yugoslavia and Turkey.
