Thundery rain across Spain, Italy

Today
Low pressure will be the main feature of the weather keeping much of Europe in an unsettled, windy mode. Lots of blustery showers today across the United Kingdom and feeling cold too. More persistent rain is forecast across France, Belgium and Germany but will be replaced by showers in the afternoon. Persistent and heavy rain lingers across Holland and Denmark for much of the day. Outbreaks of snow will falling across Switzerland and Austria today with rain forecast for much of Poland. Expect a few showers today across Portugal while heavy rain moves across Spain into the Balearics and northern Italy with a few thundery showers as well. Southern Italy into the former Yugoslavia, Greece and Turkey will be fine, dry and sunny. This also extends north into Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania. Spells of rain will also affect Norway, northern Sweden, Finland, the Baltic States, Russia and Belarus. Mostly dry across southern parts of Sweden.

A less windy and dry day to day across the United Kingdom and much of France with lots of sunshine though a few showers are possible across France at first. Lots of showers today across Germany but fine and sunny across Belgium, Holland and Denmark. Showers across the Alpine Region will fall as snow over high ground. Quite a windy, disturbed day across Italy and the former Yugoslavia with heavy rain. This also extends into Romania, southern Poland, Belarus, The Baltic States into Russia. Light rain too across Finland today with sunny spells across Sweden today but a few showers will affect western parts of Norway. Dry and fine in the east. A dry, sunny day across Portugal but some heavy showers will again affect Spain and the Balearics. Another fine, sunny day in store for Greece and Turkey.
