More unsettled weather in the west, best through eastern areas
Friday
A few showers developing over the mainland of Spain through today and a few of these could be heavy at times. To the east there could be more in the way of cloud and the chance of some more persistent rain, this risk extends through the Balearics and into southern France. For the north of France the day should be fine with sunny spells. The fine weather will be through the Low Countries and Germany too with Poland experiencing fair conditions for most of the day. A fair day too over Hungary, Austria and Switzerland.
Cloud and some showers affecting the north of Italy today, but for more central and southern areas the day is going to be dry and sunny, although an isolated shower could develop. Across Greece the day will be fine with some sunshine whilst showers affect much of Turkey, some of them heavy. To the north it should be fair across Bulgaria and Romania.
For the Baltic States there will be cloud and some showers, and this cloud and outbreaks of rain could affect Finland too. For the southern half of Sweden and Norway as well as Denmark the day should be fine with some sunny spells. To the north of these countries more cloud is expected and there could be some rain at times.
Saturday
A better day through Spain today with less showers and good spells of sunshine. There will be some cloud and showery rain for Portugal. Most of France should be fair with sunny spells, although cloud and some rain could affect the northwest. Showers are likely to be forming across the Low Countries and some of these could be heavy at times. Fair weather will be affecting Germany and Poland with sunny spells here. This sunshine extends south to Austria and Hungary whilst Switzerland will have showers.
For Italy there is a chance of some scattered showers around, although most of these will be light there is the risk of a heavier one here and there. Fair weather for Greece with sunny spells, but some showers for Turkey. Bulgaria and Romania should be fair with sunny spells.
To the north there will be some cloud and a few showers over the Baltic States, and a fair morning for Finland although cloud increasing bringing hazy sunshine later. A fair day for Sweden with sunshine here and this sunshine extending through Denmark and into the south of Norway.
