Heavy showers in Mediterranean
Today
More unsettled with rain moving in across England and this rain will extend south across western France into Portugal and western Spain. Sunnier with a few heavy showers across eastern Spain into the Balearics. For eastern France, the Low Countries and much of Germany it remains warm with good sunny spells and a scattering of light showers. A few showers too are expected across the Alpine Region. For Holland, Poland, Denmark, much of Belarus and the Baltic States it looks fine and dry with lots of sunshine. Just a few showers across western coasts of Norway otherwise fine and sunny weather will prevail eastward into Sweden. An area of light rain will lie across Finland, Russia into northern parts of the Ukraine. Plenty of showers will again redevelop across Italy with a risk of thunder. Heavy thundery rain is expected across Turkey with lots of sunshine for Greece and the former Yugoslavia but still a few showers here as well. Largely fine and dry across Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania.

Expect sunshine and showers across the United Kingdom today with an area of heavy rain from Belgium into France and eastern Spain. This continues moving east into Holland, Denmark and Germany in the afternoon. Sunshine and showers then replace the rain across northern France. A fine, sunny day to come for Portugal and western Spain. A wet day across the Balearics with lots of showers again for Italy and the former Yugoslavia. Mainly dry and sunny across Greece perhaps with just a few afternoon showers popping up. Thundery rain is forecast across Turkey. A fine, sunny day is expected across Hungary, Bulgaria into Romania, Poland into the Baltic States and much of Russia. Warm here as well. Rain will push in across Norway while Sweden and Denmark looks fine and dry.
