Sleet across Russia

Today
Pleasantly warm today across much of Europe. High pressure is going to keep much of northern Europe settled as well. Morning cloud across the United Kingdom will thin to afternoon sunshine. Lots of sunshine to come across northern France into the Low Counties into Holland, Denmark, Germany and Poland. Lots of heavy showers will again develop across central and southern France, the Alpine Region and across Italy with a rumble of thunder. A dry sunny day today for Iberia and across into the Balearics. Plenty of showers will affect the former Yugoslavia with scattered showers as well across inland parts of Greece. Largely dry and mostly sunny today for Hungary, Bulgaria up into the Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic States and much of Scandinavia. An area of rain will be pushing across Russia.

Tuesday
The fine, settled weather is set to continue across a large portion of Europe on Tuesday. Lots of spring sunshine will be found across the United Kingdom, northern France, Belgium into Holland, Denmark and Germany though still a few showers in the far south of Germany today. Southern France sees more heavy showers developing through the day with more frequent. And thundery showers across Italy and the Alpine Region today. A fine, warm day with unbroken sunshine across Iberia and the Balearics. More unsettled too across Greece, Bulgaria and Hungary today with showery outbreaks of rain and this looks quite heavy with thunderstorms across Greece. Rain moves into Norway today but fine, sunny weather prevails across Sweden and Finland. Fine as well for Poland, the Baltic States and Belarus with a cold day across Russia with a risk of sleet.
