More heavy brain and showers over Italy, but fine to the west
Wednesday
High pressure brings a fine day to Spain and Portugal, good spells of sunshine for all and feeling warm as well in the south. Further spells of sunshine for much of France, the best of it to the west. For the Low Countries and most of Germany the day is going to be fine with sunny spells, although a few showers may affect the east, these spreading into Poland. Austria and Hungary and going to be mainly dry with sunny spells, although a few showers cannot be ruled out. The days should be mainly dry in Switzerland apart from a few showers over the mountains in the afternoon.
Low pressure for southern Italy will give a showery day here. The showers could be heavy at times and may well merge into longer periods of rain here and there. For northern Greece there will be cloud and some outbreaks of rain, whilst to the south it will be dry with some sunshine. Crete and Cyprus should both be dry with sunny spells, although the cloud and outbreaks of rain will extend through Turkey. Dry into Bulgaria and Romania with sunny spells, although rather breezy here.
A fine day for the Baltic States and Finland with some sunny spells throughout. Showers could affect southern Sweden and Denmark as well as the western coasts of Norway.
Thursday
Another fair day across all parts of Spain and Portugal. Good spells of sunshine here and remaining dry too. It stays dry through France with more in the way of sunshine, although there could be some showers and a strong wind blowing in the southeast. High pressure holds through the Low Countries, Germany and Poland with sunshine here, although a few showers will be affecting Austria, Hungary and Switzerland.
Low pressure continues to bring some heavy showers for Italy, these extending into the western parts of Greece. For eastern Greece the day should be dry with some sunshine, whilst for Turkey there will be cloud and a few showers. Bulgaria and Romania are both going to be dry with sunny spells.
High pressure to the north will bring a fair day to the Baltic States with sunny spells here. More sunny spells to come over Sweden. Denmark and Norway.
