High pressure over eastern Europe brings lots of sunshine and warm weather
Saturday
An area of showers will be affecting the east of Spain today, although cloud and some patchy rain may be in the north too. For most of Spain and Portugal the weather is going to be dry with sunny spells, although not as warm as recent days. Through France there will be more cloud and some showery periods of rain here, but brighter weather following to the west. The Low Countries and Germany should be dry and warm with some good spells of sunshine. Staying warm across Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
For Italy it will be a dry and warm day overall, but there could be an odd shower on the mountains. High pressure brings a fine day to Greece, Crete and Cyprus, but a few heavy showers could break out over inland parts of Turkey. Further hefty showers for Bulgaria and Romania too.
To the north high pressure brings a fine day to the Baltic States and Norway. There will be more sunshine over Sweden and Denmark as well as Norway and it should be staying dry here throughout.
Sunday
A more unsettled day on Sunday across Iberia. Cloud and some showery bursts of rain will be through southern parts of Portugal and Spain, as well as the northeast of Spain. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells and mainly dry weather. Southern and eastern parts of France will have cloud and some showers or even longer periods of rain. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells. Thundery showers through the Low Countries and Germany, although Poland should be dry with sunny spells. Dry too across Austria and Hungary whilst Switzerland should be dry.
Some cloud and outbreaks of rain for northern Italy, but central and southern areas are going to be mainly dry, although with increased cloud. High pressure brings lots of fine weather across Greece and Turkey. Sunshine here and it will be feeling warm. More sunshine and fine weather for Bulgaria and Romania.
To the north it will be warm across the Baltic States and Finland as well as Sweden where there will be good spells of sunshine. Cloudier skies over Denmark, perhaps with some drizzle and this may affect southern Norway as well.
